CD booklet text by the composer is here.
- 'I can highly recommend the wonderful The Piano Works of Konrad
Boehmer, played superbly by Nicolas Hodges. Boehmer is underrated - or
perhaps just underexposed - outside his European milieu, yet his
marvellous combination of musical erudition and natural wit, together with his
ability to work within a variety of modern and near-modern idioms, make this
disc well worth seeking out.'
Roger Thomas, International Record Review, October 2002, p.31 - '... a pianistic Tour de Force ...'
Gerhard Dietel, Neue Zeitschrift für Musik, May/June 2002, p.69 - '...a terrific display of virtuoso piano playing, quite impressive in its
own right. Technically demanding and physically exacting for the pianist and
the listener as well. This release is a formidable tribute to [Hodges's]
remarkable technique...'
